'SpongeBob' Creative Director Reveals That There Could Be A Fourth 'SpongeBob SquarePants' Movie

Although Paramount Pictures & Nickelodeon Movies' upcoming third SpongeBob SquarePants movie won't hit theaters until Friday 31st July 2020, Vincent Waller, the Creative Director on SpongeBob SquarePants, has speculated in a Tweet on his official Twitter profile page, @VincentWaller72, that, if the third SpongeBob SquarePants theatrical film follows the successes of 2004's The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and 2015’s The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, there's a extremely good chance that Paramount and Nickelodeon will make a fourth SpongeBob SquarePants movie!:

Tentatively titled SpongeBob SquarePants 3 and The SpongeBob Movie, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies first announced their third SpongeBob SquarePants feature film in 2015, with Paul Tibbitt returning to direct and a voice cast including Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, and Mr. Lawrence.

SpongeBob's first big screen outing, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie grossed $140 million worldwide in 2004, while the last SpongeBob pic, 2015’s Sponge Out of Water, grossed $315 million worldwide.

Paramount and Nickelodeon have several movies in the pipeline, including: Amusement Park (Friday 15th March 2019); a Henry Danger feature film; a The Loud House movie; a Are You Afraid of the Dark? film (Friday 11th October 2019); and a live-action Dora The Explorer movie (2019).
