Viacom International Media Networks Licences 1000 Hours Of Nickelodeon Programming Across Latin America

World Screen, a publication which covers the international media business, is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon International News that Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has licensed 1,000 hours of Nickelodeon programming to broadcasters across Latin America, including to its long-standing free-to-air partner Televisa in Mexico!


"Every Witch Way" and "The Haunted Hathaways" are slated to air this fall on Canal 5, which also picked up additional episodes of "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Dora the Explorer", "Sam & Cat", "Paw Patrol" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", among others. In Chile, VIMN placed eight TV movies with Megavision, among them "Jinxed". UCVTV renewed its Nick Jr. branded programming block for an additional two-year period, while TV Nacional picked up the broadcast rights to "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness" for a new prime-time kids' slot.

In Colombia, the free-TV channel Teleantoquia went for the preschool shows "Paw Patrol", "Fanboy & Chum Chum" and "Back at the Barnyard". CityTV added to its schedule "Kung Fu Panda: Legends" for its daily Nickelodeon-branded block.

The free-to-air TV Hondurena in Honduras acquired eight titles, including "The Haunted Hathaways" and "Kung Fu Panda". Canal 7 in Costa Rica opted for such animated hits as "Dora and Friends" and "Peter Rabbit".

Rounding out the deals, Nicaraguan free-TV network Telenica purchased 562 additional episodes, while Venevision in Venezuela took 500 episodes.
