Viacom International Media Networks Asia Renews Nickelodeon's Exclusive Branded Programming Block Package With FTA Indonesian Broadcaster Global TV; Names MNC Licensing As New Consumer Products Licensing Agent In Indonesia; Announces Plans For Nickelodeon's 6th Annual Indonesia Kids Choice Awards

The children's entertainment and media news website Kidscreen is reporting the Nickelodeon Asia News in the following article that Viacom International Media Networks Asia (VIMN Asia) has renewed Nickelodeon's exclusive branded block package for another three years with free-to-air (FTA) Indonesian television broadcaster Global TV.

Global TV, a subsidiary of MNC Media, will continue to air Nickelodeon properties such as "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Dora the Explorer", "Go, Diego, Go!", "Avatar, The Legend of Aang" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". The deal also appoints another MNC Media subsidiary, MNC Licensing, as the new consumer products licensing agent of Nick properties in Indonesia.

Kidscreen is also reporting in the same article that VIMN and Global TV will again partner to hold a localised version of the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards, the 6th annual Indonesia Kids Choice Awards, for Indonesian Nickelodeon fans and viewers later this year:

Nickelodeon first broke ground in Indonesia as the first international kids’ brand to enter the local market with a branded block offering.

The 11-year collaboration between VIMN and Global TV has churned out a number of initiatives, namely Indonesia’s first Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in 2008, which will run its sixth consecutive year on Global TV this year.
