Nickelodeon Star Carlos Pena Confirms Nickelodeon Boy Band "Big Time Rush" Planning To Do A Collaboration With UK-Irish Boy Band One Direction

One Direction collaborations: Big Time Rush definite; Justin Bieber possible

Justin Bieber and One Direction are currently the most popular male teen idols in the world. And now Bieber's manager says that Bieber and One Direction could team up on a music project. In addition, One Direction is definitely planning to collaborate with Nickelodeon boy band Big Time Rush on a song and music video.

One Direction came in third place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010.

On March 10, 2012, a fan asked Bieber's manager Scooter Braun on Twitter: “Do you think justin could ever possibly colab with one direction?"

Braun replied: "Very possible. he likes them and thinks they are good dudes. all people of that generation should be there to help EACHOTHER.”

One Direction did its first North American tour as the opening act for Big Time Rush from February 24 to March 9, 2012.

Big Time Rush member Carlos Pena told Teen that there is a collaboration in the works with One Direction and Big Time Rush: "There’s gonna be a special video coming out with us and 1D. I’m not sure if you saw the 'Call Me Maybe' video, but we’re making one with a special song that I can’t tell you about, but it’s gonna be us and them. It’s gonna be pretty crazy."

One Direction have teamed up with other artists for these musical collaborations on stage:

* Various performances with other "X Factor" U.K. finalists during the show in 2010.

* On "The X Factor" U.K. season finale in 2010, the group performed "She's the One" with Robbie Williams.

* On "The X Factor" U.K. season finale in 2011, One Direction performed with JLS in a mash-up of of JLS's "She Makes Me Wanna" and One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful." Both songs were No. 1 hits in the U.K.

On recorded songs, One Direction peformed with other artists on two "X Factor" U.K. charity singles that were No. 1 hits in the U.K.:

* A 2010 remake of David Bowie's "Heroes" with the Top 16 "X Factor" U.K. finalists of 2010.

* A 2011 remake of Rose Royce's "Wishing on a Star" with JLS and the Top 16 "X Factor" U.K. finalists of 2011.
