STARS, SLIME, AND A WINNING SWEEP - KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS DELIVERS A STUNNING NIGHT OF ENTERTAINMENT

Australian Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2011 – ENCORES Sat at 12pm; Sun at 10am on Nickelodeon

Hosted by iCarly U.S. stars JENNETTE MCCURDY & NATHAN KRESS

Stars including CODY SIMPSON, BINDI & ROBERT IRWIN, MATT PRESTON, KYLE SANDILANDS and more collected Nick blimps at the 2011 Australian Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA's), showing that they rate on the kid scale as 110% awesome!

Broadcast live from The Sydney Entertainment Centre, the KCA’s kicked off with the iconic Orange Carpet (OC), where celebrities embraced the frenetic sea of kids. Nickelodeon’s irreverent LUKE & WYATT hosted an OC show counting down the KCA's, welcoming iCarly stars and KCA hosts JENNETTE MCCURDY and NATHAN KRESS to Australia for the first time.

To an ear-splitting chorus of kids, the main show kicked off in dynamic fashion with TIMOMATIC appearing from the audience singing a cover of 'I Want Candy' – re-versioned for the KCA’s as ‘I want Nick’! With the crowd amped, TIMOMATIC introduced the first musical number of the show as Australia’s sweetest X Factor judge NATALIE BASSINGTHWAIGHTE, who performed her sassy new single, 'All We Have'.

The first blimp of the night was soon claimed by international mega-star JUSTIN BIEBER for Hottest Guy Hottie, accepting his award via a link to Los Angeles where he thanked his Aussie fans from backstage on his current South American tour.

MEL B, X Factor’s toughest judge, teamed up with COMMANDO, the Biggest Losers’ toughest trainer, to present the Superfresh Award. A cross to the penguins enclosure at Sea World on the Gold Coast revealed the winners as the most super of the fresh, CODY SIMPSON. Cody’s limelight was soon replaced by bright green goo, as co-hosts JENNETTE and NATHAN kicked off the slime-fest with a remote control slimer, sending the highly-anticipated first sliming over the audience! CODY then performed a medley of his songs 'Just For You' and 'On My Mind', and the crowd went wild when they spotted their fan photos displayed on a huge screen behind him! Later, CODY took the title of Fave Aussie Muso as his second win of the night.

LUKE JACOBZ and WWE SUPERSTAR CM PUNK presented Fave Song, with winning tune 'Party Rock Anthem' by LMFAO revealed from the remains of a giant pinata. After a mealworms reveal, the Get Real award went to Australia's Got Talent before STAN WALKER got the crowd moving again with a medley of 'Loud' and 'Light it Up'.

Cheekiest category of the night was the Slime Minister award. With a record 1.6 million votes counted, Aussie kids embraced their chance to pass judgement on the green credentials of political leaders JULIA GILLARD and TONY ABBOTT. MATT PRESTON and RACHAEL FINCH played the role of election scrutinizers, revealing Gillard as the kids’ choice for greenest leader. A flamboyant Gillard look-alike made her acceptance speech before breaking out into some random dancing with JUSTICE CREW.

VICTORIA JUSTICE, star of Nickelodeon’s global hit Victorious, was voted by kids as the hottest of the Hottest Girl Hotties, beating out the local contenders. Star of hit Nick show iCarly and co-host of the KCA's, JENNETTE MCCURDY made it to the winners podium, taking out the comedic LOL Award after bursting to the stage from what iCarly fans would recognise to be a giant ‘spaghetti taco’!

JACK VIDGEN performed an inspiring rendition of Katy Perry song Firework, before NAT BASS and SAMANTHA HARRIS presented the award for Baddest Baddie, accepted by winner KYLE SANDILANDS via video from L.A on sunset strip. Awesome Oldie went to MATT PRESTON, and after Hall of Slime nominees GUY SEBASTIAN, NATALIE BASSINGTHWAIGHTE, BINDI and ROBERT IRWIN and ROVE all pleaded their cases, a giant flag rolled out from the back of the arena to reveal the winners: BINDI and ROBERT IRWIN.

The night culminated with the Awesome Aussie award, presented by SAMARA WEAVING and SHANNON NOLL. Revealed in a bird cage by illusionist COSENTINO, CODY SIMPSON claimed it as his third award of the night - a full sweep!

The night ended in the true spirit of the KCA's, as the final 100L of the nights’ 5 tonnes of slime was unloaded onto the audience, capping off an unforgettable night.
